Round holes, no patching afterwards
A diamond core barrel cuts a hole rather than smashing one. The concrete around it is left undamaged, the edge comes out smooth enough to sleeve or seal straight away, and there is no cracking spidering out from the penetration for the builder to make good later.
We core through concrete, brick, block, stone and bluestone, at any angle, in floors, walls and overhead. The barrel is water fed and the slurry is vacuumed as we go, so an occupied office or a finished house does not end up wearing it.
Everything gets scanned first. A Hilti PS-1000 finds the rebar, the post tension tendons and the conduit before the barrel touches the slab, because coring a live cable or a stressed tendon turns a two hour job into a very expensive fortnight.

What size holes can you core?
Everything from a small conduit penetration up to large diameter work. A recent run at Goulburn Valley Grammar was nineteen holes at 280mm through a footpath for bollards. Tell us the diameter you need and we will confirm we have the barrel.
Can you core through reinforced concrete?
Yes. A diamond barrel cuts straight through rebar. We scan first so we know where the steel is, because on a structural slab there is a difference between clipping a bar and cutting through a post tension tendon.
Will it make a mess inside?
No. Coring is water fed and the slurry is vacuumed as we go. We core in occupied offices, shops and finished homes regularly, and the area gets left clean.
Can you core overhead and on an angle?
Yes. Ceilings, soffits and angled penetrations are all standard. The rig gets anchored or braced to suit, and the water is caught rather than running back down the drill.
Do you handle the spoil and slurry?
Yes. On bigger runs we bring the hydro excavation unit alongside the rig and draw the spoil and slurry off as each hole is finished, so the work area stays clean and safe while the job keeps moving.
How quickly can you get to a Bendigo job?
