Straight, square and flush to the surface
A wall saw runs on a track bolted to the wall, so the blade follows a line rather than a pair of hands. The opening comes out plumb, square and exactly where it was set out, which is the difference between a door frame that fits and a day of packing and patching.
It cuts to 730mm deep from one side, so most walls, slabs, pits and shafts get done without needing access to the far face. That matters when the other side is a neighbouring tenancy, a live basement or dirt. It also cuts flush up against an adjoining wall, floor or ceiling, so an opening can be taken right into the corner rather than stopping short of it.
That flush cut is what saves the making good. No uncut nib left in the corner to jackhammer out by hand, no chipped return wall, no patching a ceiling that was never meant to be touched. On finished buildings that is usually the whole reason a wall saw gets called instead of something cheaper.

How thick a wall can you cut?
Up to 730mm working from one side only. If we can get to both faces we can go through thicker again by cutting from each side, and past that the wire saw takes over.
Can you cut an opening without access to the other side?
Yes, that is the main reason a wall saw gets used. It cuts to full depth from one face, so a neighbouring tenancy, a live basement or a wall against dirt does not need to be opened up.
Will the opening be square enough for a door frame?
Yes. The saw runs on a bolted track, so the cut follows the set out line rather than a pair of hands. Openings come out plumb and square to the size you give us.
Do you cut into corners?
The blade cuts flush to adjacent surfaces, so an opening can run right up to a floor, a return wall or a ceiling. On the very last few millimetres of a corner we finish with a hand saw or a ring saw so nothing has to be broken out.
Is it noisy and messy?
It is a diamond blade and water, so there is noise and there is slurry. We bund and vacuum the water, and on tenanted buildings we will do the cut overnight or on a weekend so nobody has to work next to it.
Do you remove the cut out section?
Yes. We can drill lifting points, cut the panel into liftable pieces, take it out and cart it away. The concrete goes to a recycler rather than to landfill.
