Breaking out without anyone in the firing line
The DXR 145 is remote controlled, so the operator stands away from the dust, the noise, the vibration and anything that might come down. On demolition work that is the single biggest safety change you can make, and it is why the robot gets specified on jobs that would otherwise be hand demolition with a crew of three swinging breakers.
It is fully electric. No exhaust, no fumes and no carbon monoxide, which means it works inside occupied buildings, in basements, in plant rooms and in tunnels where a diesel machine simply is not allowed. It is also light enough to work on suspended floors that would not take an excavator.
The arm takes a hammer, a grapple or a crusher, so the same machine breaks the concrete out, sorts it and loads it. Swapping attachment beats swapping machines, particularly when the machine had to be walked through a doorway to get where it is.

Can the robot work inside an occupied building?
Yes. It is fully electric, so there are no exhaust fumes at all. That is the reason it gets used in basements, plant rooms, tunnels and tenancies where a diesel machine would need ventilation that does not exist.
Will it go through a doorway?
Yes. It is compact enough to walk through standard openings and into lifts on a lot of buildings, which is the point of it. Send us the access route and we will confirm before it gets booked.
Can it work on an upper floor?
On most suspended slabs, yes. It is far lighter than an excavator with the same breaking power. We check the floor loading against the structural details before it goes up.
What attachments does it take?
Hammer, grapple and crusher. The hammer breaks, the crusher takes reinforced sections down quietly and the grapple sorts and loads. Changing attachment is quicker than changing machines.
Is it quieter than jackhammers?
The crusher attachment is much quieter than a breaker, which matters on jobs beside a trading tenancy or in a residential street. With the hammer on, it is still a hammer, so on noise sensitive sites we run it after hours.
Do you saw cut around the demolition first?
On anything where the surrounding concrete has to survive, yes. Cutting a clean perimeter first means the break out stops at the line instead of cracking on into slab you are keeping.
