Fix the floor instead of covering it up
Most flooring failures are preparation failures. Vinyl that lifts, epoxy that peels and tiles that drum are usually sitting on adhesive residue, a curing compound or a surface that was never flat enough in the first place. Grinding takes all of that back to sound concrete so the new floor bonds to the slab rather than to whatever was left on it.
The same machines fix safety problems. A lifted slab edge across a footpath or a warehouse floor is a trip hazard and a liability, and grinding the lip off is far cheaper and far quicker than cutting the panel out and pouring a new one.
It is dust controlled work. The grinders run on extraction, which means we can work inside a trading shop, an occupied office or a finished house without shutting the place down or coating it in silica dust.

Can you grind out a trip hazard instead of replacing the slab?
In most cases yes, and it is a fraction of the cost. If a panel has lifted at a joint we can grind the lip back to a safe transition rather than cutting the panel out and repouring it.
Will grinding remove tile adhesive?
Yes. Adhesive, glue residue, levelling compound and old sealers all come off. That is usually the difference between a new vinyl or epoxy floor lasting and lifting inside a year.
How much dust does it make?
Very little. The grinders run with extraction at the head, so we can work in occupied shops, offices and houses. Uncontrolled concrete grinding produces silica dust, so it is not something we do.
Can you grind a polished finish?
That is a different service and a different set of passes. Grinding gets a floor flat and clean. If you want it polished, sealed or exposed as the finished surface, that is our polished concrete work.
Do you remove line marking from carparks?
Yes. Grinding takes painted lines and bays off without the ghosting you get from painting over them, which matters when a carpark is being re marked to a new layout.
Can you work overnight in a trading shop?
Yes, and it is usually the right answer. We run 24 hours, so a retail floor can be ground and prepped overnight and be ready for the flooring trade before opening.
