Wet hire means the machine turns up with the bloke who runs it. No licence to chase. No float to organise. No dry hire machine sitting idle because nobody on site is ticketed to operate it. We turn up, do the work, load the spoil and cart it away, all in the same visit.
Our 3T excavator is made for the jobs the bigger machines cannot get to: side gates, backyards, shed floors, carparks, footpaths and tight access sites around Bendigo.
And because it is the same truck and trailer carrying our concrete cutting gear, cut and remove jobs are handled by one crew from start to finish. No cutting crew waiting on an earthworks crew. No juggling multiple contractors. No multiple invoices.

What the phone rings about
Some of it is straight earthworks. Most of it is the digging and carting half of a concrete job we are already on site for.
Cut and remove
Cut up the slab, break it up, load it into the tipper and cart it off. One crew for the whole job rather than booking the cutting and the removal separately.
Trenching for services
Stormwater, sewer, power and irrigation. The excavator digs the run and the core rig gets you through the wall at the end of it.
Site clean ups
Loading rubble, stripping out old paths and pads and getting a site back to a clean level before the next trade turns up.
Footings and shed pads
Digging footings, levelling a pad and shaping the site up ready for a pour.
Backfill and reinstatement
Backfilling and compacting once the services are in, so the trench is not a trip hazard sinking six months later.
Tipper runs
Road base, sand, soil and spoil, in or out. The truck is already on the job, so the cartage does not need a second contractor.
Excavator hire in Bendigo without the licence
Most excavator hire in Bendigo is dry hire out of a plant yard, which works only if you already have a ticketed operator and a way to float the machine to site. Wet hire skips both. The three tonne machine turns up on our own truck with the bloke who runs it, and it leaves the same way.
It is priced as one job rather than a machine, plus a float, plus a driver, plus a bin. On a small residential or commercial job around Bendigo, that difference is often what decides whether the work is worth doing at all.
The other thing a plant yard cannot do is cut. Because the excavator lives with the saws, a Bendigo job that needs a slab opened up and then dug out is one booking, not an earthworks contractor sitting idle waiting on a cutting contractor.

What does wet hire mean?
You get the machine and a licensed operator for one price. Dry hire is the machine on its own, which leaves you finding someone to run it and a way to get it to site. Everything we hire out is wet hire.
Will a three tonne excavator fit through my side gate?
Usually, yes. With the tracks retracted the machine is narrow enough to get down the side of a standard Bendigo house and into the backyard. Send a photo of the gate and the access and we will tell you before it gets booked in.
Can you take the dirt and broken concrete away?
Yes. The tipper comes with the machine, so spoil, rubble and old concrete are loaded and carted in the same visit. Concrete goes to a crushing plant to be recycled, never to landfill.
Can I hire the excavator without the cutting crew?
Yes. Plenty of the work is straight earthworks with no cutting in it at all. It also runs the other way: book both and one crew handles the saw work and the removal end to end.
How far out of Bendigo will you take it?
Bendigo and the towns around it as standard, including Eaglehawk, Kangaroo Flat, Strathfieldsaye, Huntly and Epsom. Past that we work across central Victoria and into southern New South Wales, so it is worth asking.
Do you work after hours?
Yes. Riverside Concrete Cutting runs 24 hours a day, every day of the year. If the machine needs to be in a carpark at 2am so the shops trade in the morning, that is when it turns up.
