One booking instead of three
Wet hire means the machine arrives with a licensed operator on it. No ticket to chase, no float to organise, and no hired machine sitting idle in the yard because nobody on site is allowed to drive it. We turn up, do the work, load the spoil and cart it away in the same visit.
The three tonne excavator is sized for the jobs bigger machines cannot reach. Side gates, backyards, shed floors, dairy yards, carparks and footpaths around Echuca and Moama, plus the farm work where there is plenty of room but a long way to the nearest tap.
It travels on the same truck and trailer as the cutting gear. So a job that needs a slab opened and then dug out is one crew from start to finish, rather than an earthworks contractor waiting on a cutting contractor and both of them billing you for the wait.
We cut it, break it, load it and cart it. The concrete goes to a recycler to be crushed and reused rather than to a tip.

What it gets booked for
Some of it is straight earthworks. Most of it is the digging and carting half of a concrete job we are already standing on.
Cut and remove
Saw the slab, break it up, load the tipper and cart it off. One crew and one invoice instead of booking the cutting and the removal separately.
Trenching for services
Stormwater, sewer, power and irrigation runs dug out, with the core rig getting you through the wall or the pit at the end of it.
Farm and dairy work
Trenching, pad levelling and clean up around dairies, pump sheds and machinery slabs out through Rochester, Lockington and Kyabram.
Shed pads and footings
Digging footings, levelling a pad and shaping a site up ready for the concreter to pour on.
Backfill and reinstatement
Backfilling and compacting once the services are in, so the trench is not a trip hazard quietly sinking six months later.
Tipper runs
Road base, sand, soil and spoil, in or out. The truck is already on the job, so cartage does not need a second contractor.

Excavator hire in Echuca without chasing a ticket
Most machine hire around Echuca and Moama is dry hire out of a yard, which only works if you already have a ticketed operator and a way to get the machine to site. Wet hire skips both. The three tonne machine turns up on our own truck, with the operator, and it leaves the same way.
It gets priced as a job rather than as a machine plus a float plus a driver plus a bin. On a small residential or commercial job that difference is often what decides whether the work is worth doing this year or next.
The other thing a plant yard cannot do is cut. Because the excavator lives alongside the saws, an Echuca job that needs a slab opened up and then dug out is one booking. That matters most on farm work, where the nearest alternative machine might be two towns away.
Often on the same job
- Concrete Removal Echuca Cut, break out, load and cart, all inside the same visit.
- Core Drilling Echuca Trench up to the wall, then core straight through it.

What Echuca customers say
Asked often
What does wet hire actually mean?
The machine and a licensed operator for one price. Dry hire is the machine on its own, which leaves you finding somebody to run it and a way to get it to site. Everything we hire out is wet hire.
Will a three tonne excavator fit down my side gate?
Usually. With the tracks retracted it gets down the side of most houses in Echuca and Moama and into the backyard. Send a photo of the gate and we will confirm before it is booked.
Can you cart the spoil and broken concrete away?
Yes. The tipper comes with the machine, so dirt, rubble and old concrete are loaded and carted in the same visit. Concrete goes to a crushing plant, never to landfill.
Do you go out to farms and dairies?
Regularly. Dairy yards, pump sheds, machinery slabs and shed pads out through Rochester, Lockington, Kyabram and the irrigation country are a decent share of the work. The gear runs off its own power and water.
Can I hire the machine without the cutting crew?
Yes. Plenty of it is straight earthworks with no cutting involved. It works the other way too: book both and one crew handles the sawing and the removal end to end.
Do you work weekends and after hours?
Yes, 24 hours a day, every day of the year. If the machine has to be in a carpark at 2am so a business trades in the morning, that is when it turns up.
Tell us what needs shifting
A photo of the access and a rough idea of what has to come out is enough. You will get a price back the same business day.
